Richard Burgi
Dr. Ben Kramer on Point Pleasant

Born and raised in Montclair, NJ, Richard Burgi moved to New York City and began studying acting and gaining experience with commercials and cameos, which led to regular roles on several daytime dramas, including "Days of Our Lives." Burgi then moved on to roles in three syndicated drama series - "Viper," "One West Waikiki, opposite Cheryl Ladd and the title role in the action adventure series "The Sentinel."

Burgi is familiar to FOX viewers from his role in the first season of the Golden Globe-winning series "24," playing the part of Alan York/Kevin Carroll. Burgi's additional television credits include recurring roles on "Judging Amy," "The District" and "Veronica's Closet." Burgi has guest-starred on "Touched By An Angel," "Action," "Providence," "Just Shoot Me," "Firefly" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." He has also starred in the telefilms "Bailey's Mistake" and "Torn Apart."

Most recently, Burgi was seen starring opposite Kim Basinger in the feature film "Cellular." He recently completed production on the features "In Her Shoes" opposite Cameron Diaz, and the remake of "Fun with Dick and Jane" starring Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni. Burgi's additional feature credits include "Decoys," "Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation" and "Darklight."

An enthusiastic surfer and nature lover, Richard spends as much time outdoors as possible, either at the beach or hiking through the hills with his family, and he is an advocate of environmental protection and preservation.
