Fox has neglected to provide a Wendy Makkena photo Wendy Makkena is a well-known theater actress who has been praised for her roles in a broad spectrum of stage productions. She most recently received critical acclaim for her stunning performance in "The Shawl" directed by Sidney Lumet. Makkena also has appeared on Broadway in "Side Man" and "Lend Me A Tenor," as well as "Pygmalion" opposite Peter O'Toole. Her additional theater credits include starring roles in "The Water Children," "The American Plan," "Prin," "Mountain Language," "The Birthday Party," "Loman Family Picnic" and "The Taming of the Shrew" for director Julie Taymor.

Makkena's most memorable film role is her performance as Sister Mary Robert, the nun who overcame her shyness by learning to sing in the convent choir, in the feature "Sister Act." Her additional film credits include roles in "Air Bud," "Finding North," "Camp Nowhere" and "Eight Men Out" for director John Sayles.

Her television credits include recurring roles in "The Job," "Judging Amy" and "NYPD Blue." Makkena was a series regular in "A League of Their Own" and guest starred on "C-16: FBI," "Touched by an Angel," "Law & Order" and "Philly." She also starred in the movies-of-the-week "Death Benefit," "Serving in Silence" and "7th Avenue."

Makenna divides her time between New York City and Los Angeles.
