America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back
Saturdays 9:00 PM

John Walsh on America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back photo America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back is one of network television's longest-running series. Lauded by law enforcement organizations nationwide, this hour hosted by John Walsh has changed the lives of hundreds of crime victims, as well as those it forced to justice behind bars. The show has become a powerful voice for crime victims everywhere.

Among its most amazing achievements, America's Most Wanted has captured a record 672 criminals, taken 13 criminals off of the FBI's Most Wanted list and -- Mr. Walsh's proudest achievement -- reunited 24 missing children with their families.

Since its resurrection as America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back, the program's mission has expanded:

  • Each week, the program targets a different "Public Enemy No. 1," and starts a relentless pursuit of the criminal involved. The pursuit continues with regular updates until each of the featured criminals is caught.

  • Weekly "Street Smart" segments teach viewers how to avoid becoming crime victims, while each week's "Fighting Back" segments revolve around regular citizens who've turned tragedy into triumph, telling their inspiring tales.

  • The program also takes an in-depth look at laws that work in favor of criminals and champions the cause of lawmakers fighting to protect victims' rights.

Walsh, whose six-year-old son Adam was abducted and murdered in 1981, founded the series and over the years has become an active voice for victims' rights.

Lance Heflin is executive producer of America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back for STF Productions Inc.
