Bonnie Somerville
Mimi on Kitchen Confidential

Bonnie Somerville Bonnie Somerville radiates natural beauty and a disarming "girl-next-door" appeal that immediately endears her to audiences.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Somerville grew up in a large, close-knit Irish-Catholic family. At a young age, she developed a desire to perform through singing and acting in school and community theater productions. She honed her skills by studying theater at Boston College, then moved to New York City to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.

Somerville starred on two of television's biggest shows in the past two years, "NYPD Blue" for its last season, and The O.C. audiences will also remember her as "Mona," girlfriend of "Ross" on "Friends." She starred as "Lyne Danner," a singer/songwriter during the 1950s, for the miniseries "Shake, Rattle and Roll." Other small-screen credits include "Grosse Pointe" and "In-Laws."

Somerville also has been busy with feature films, working with Steven Weber and Swoosie Kurtz in the independent black comedy "Sleep Easy, Hutch Rimes" and with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley in Harold Ramis' romantic comedy "Bedazzled." Last summer, she co-starred in the Paramount comedy "Without a Paddle."
