Peggy Hill Herself on King Of The Hill  Wife, mother, and substitute Spanish teacher, Peggy Hill is a citizen of the Republic of Texas who works hard, plays hard, loves hard, and reapplies her lipstick 30 times a day. Recognized by family and neighbors as one of the smartest people in Arlen, Peggy is the reigning Texas State Boggle Champion and Arlen's 1996 Substitute Teacher of the Year.Like most real 90s women, she works and keeps house for her family. In return, she expects (and commands) a certain amount of respect. Over the nearly twenty-year span of their marriage, she and Hank have carved out a relationship built on equality, love and "mutual unspoken agreements" about certain bedroom duties. Peggy is the person Hank turns to for advice and counsel about most everything. She may be traditional, but she isn't long-suffering, nor terribly quiet and can hold a grudge when appropriate. She stays in shape by working out to a Chuck Mangione Jazzercize tape and stays in fashion by making special furtive trips to Lubbock's Very Large Shoes. That's Peggy Hill.
