The Drew Carey Show
Latenight on WVAH Fox 11

The Drew Carey Show photo "The Drew Carey Show" continues to be one of the most innovative comedies on television. Based on the humorous outlook of comedian and author Drew Carey, this fast-paced, half-hour comedy depicts everyday life as seen through the eyes of a single, working-class guy struggling to stay financially and romantically afloat in the unpredictable '90s.

After many years of dedicated service at the Winfred-Louder department store, Drew has finally received a long-awaited promotion. Yet, after a broken engagement, he's at a crossroads in his life. This season, he questions past personal and career choices and considers making radical changes.

While some aspects of his professional life have improved, other parts never will. Office foe Mimi Bobeck will always be a source of aggravation for Drew, although she has other interests in her life. With her mad attraction for Mr. Wick having finally run its course, she sets her romantic sights on a new (and perhaps equally unwise) prospect. As for Mr. Wick, he embarks upon a quest for self-improvement.

After work is when Drew makes the most out of life. With the help of his lifelong friends: Oswald, a never-take-life-too-seriously package delivery guy; Lewis, a janitor at the rarely seen but always mysterious Drug Co Pharmaceutical company; and Kate, a beautiful, grown-up tomboy who's searching for "Mr. Right," Drew constantly turns the mundane into adventure. With this group, there is never a dull moment. Together, they started their own micro-brewery, hosted a backyard bash for most of Cleveland and took an unforgettable, spontaneous day trip to New York City.

"The Drew Carey Show" is also known for its signature dance sequences. In previous seasons, the show revitalized classic tunes like "Five O'clock World," "Time Warp," and "What Is Hip" by featuring the cast in exciting choreographed routines. The show also blazed new trails with ground-breaking episodes that included an animated scene with Daffy Duck, an alien special effects scene and a tribute to the hit movie, "The Full Monty." Every season promises more original surprises. The frequently dateless Drew develops a promising new romantic relationship. There's also a "new" yet familiar man in Kate's life. And when Drew gets new, upwardly mobile next-door neighbors, he begins reevaluating his own accomplishments.

Drew Carey stars as Drew, Diedrich Bader as Oswald, Christa Miller as Kate, Kathy Kinney as Mimi Bobeck, Craig Ferguson as Nigel Wick and Ryan Stiles as Lewis.

"The Drew Carey Show," which premiered Sept. 13, 1995, was created by Drew Carey and Bruce Helford. Bruce Helford, Clay Graham and Bruce Rasmussen are executive producers. Deborah Oppenheimer and Lona Williams are co-executive producers. "The Drew Carey Show" is a Warner Bros. Television Production.
