Dark Angel Formerly on Tuesdays 9:00 PM ![]() Jessica Alba (C), Michael Weatherly (R) and John Savage (L) star in Dark Angel a sci-fi adventure series set in post-apocalyptic America. The one-hour drama from Executive Producers James Cameron and Charles Eglee premiered October 3, 2000 on FOX 11. For his much-anticipated television debut, Academy Award-winner, "Titanic" and "T2" mastermind James Cameron teams with Emmy Award-winner Charles Eglee ("Murder One") to create Dark Angel, a sci-fi adventure series set in the near future. Dark Angel stars Jessica Alba ("Never Been Kissed") as Max, a genetically-enhanced human prototype who, after escaping her military handlers -- led by the fierce Lydecker (John Savage) -- is hunted by them through the underground street life of 21st Century Pacific Northwest. Max is aided in her quest -- both to avoid capture and to reunite with her surviving "siblings" -- by Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly). Cale, an idealistic cyber-journalist, battles corruption and the oppressive establishment in this futuristic landscape. Although ultracool, detached Max initially resists Logan's attempts to enlist her in his crusade, she ultimately brings her unique abilities to bear as she joins him in taking on the ruthless power-brokers of the new millennium. Dark Angel is produced by Cameron/Eglee Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Cameron and Eglee are executive producers; Rene Echevarria is co-executive producer; Patrick Harbinson is supervising producer; Rae Sanchini and Stephen Sassen are producers.
