EVENT CENTER
New Upshur County event center expected to open in October, located in National Guard facility

BUCKHANNON, W.Va.


A new event center is expected to open in Upshur County in October.

The Event Center at Brushy Fork will be located in the West Virginia National Guard's new facility under construction in Buckhannon.

Conference center manager Laura McDaniels tells The Inter-Mountain that an open house and ribbon cutting is tentatively set for Oct. 1.

West Virginia Wesleyan College's homecoming will be the first event to be held at the center. It's scheduled for Oct. 19.

McDaniels says several other events are tentatively scheduled but pricing hasn't been set yet.
