PARKERSBURG, W.Va.

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park's "Mansion by Candlelight" has been selected as one of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 October events.

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says the society's Top 20 events are considered the best of the best.

"Mansion by Candlelight" recreates an 1805 party hosted by Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett, using only candles to provide light. This year's event is scheduled for Oct. 10 and Oct. 11.
