Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin is asking for public comment about how government agencies responded to a Jan. 9 chemical spill into 300,000 people's water supply.
The review will cover actions by state agencies, county and local emergency management offices, volunteer and charity organizations, the West Virginia National Guard and other groups.
Overseeing the review will be: Adjutant General James Hoyer of the West Virginia National Guard; Homeland Security Director Jimmy Gianato; and Peter Markham, Tomblin's general counsel.
The Freedom Industries spill spurred a water-use ban for four to 10 days across nine counties.
