Rock slide closes section of W.Va. Route 20 between Bluestone Dam and bridge near Hinton

HINTON, W.Va.


A rock slide has closed a section of W.Va. Route 20 between the Bluestone Dam and Veterans Bridge near Hinton.

Summers County 911 tells media outlets that the slide occurred Thursday morning.

The state Department of Transportation says an alternate route is Leatherwood Road to Sand Knob to W.Va. Route 3.

The road is expected to remain closed for most of Thursday.
