WELCH, W.Va.

The McDowell County Economic Development Authority is seeking proposals for a project to address a lack of housing in the county.

The Stoneridge Housing Development will be located on about 13 acres.

Authority director Penni Adams tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph that the development will be a mixture of townhouses and single-family homes available for rent or sale.

Adams says there's no time frame for the project's completion.

Proposals will be accepted through April 30.
