The federal government is making an additional $3.9 million available in West Virginia to help low-income residents with home heating and energy costs.
The federal assistance program helps low-income families with heating costs in the winter, cooling costs in the summer and home insulation.
In all, the program is making an additional $454 million available in all states after releasing $2.9 billion in November.
In West Virginia, the state Department of Health and Human Resources' Division of Family Assistance oversees the program.
