SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va.
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is proposing a sweeping list of ideas to combat drug abuse in the state.
His proposals largely focus on West Virginia's meth and prescription drug abuse issues. Morrisey wants to provide 40 or 50 drop boxes for West Virginians to dispose of unused medications.
He also proposed cutting in half the amount of pseudoephedrine someone can buy each year, from 48 to 24 grams. The ingredient in some cold medicines is used to manufacture meth.
But Morrisey stopped short of supporting a separate proposal to make pseudophedrine available only by prescription
