Davis & Elkins cancels Tuesday classes due to expected frigid temperatures, wind chills

Davis & Elkins College has cancelled Tuesday's classes because of expected frigid temperatures and wind chills.
Classes will resume Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says the high temperature in Elkins on Tuesday is expected to around zero degrees. Wind chills may reach minus 43 degrees.
West Virginia University is advising its students to be prepared for the cold as they return to campus for the spring semester. Residence halls opened Monday morning and classes begin Wednesday.
The temperature in Morgantown is expected to fall to minus 8 degrees Monday night, with wind chills as low as minus 29 degrees. Temperatures could reach only 3 degrees Tuesday.
