WVU adds lobbyist to work in Charleston; part of university's advocacy efforts in DC, W.Va.

West Virginia University has hired a lobbyist to work in Charleston at a salary of $140,000.
The university could spend close to $500,000 this budget year on lobbying.
University spokesman John Bolt said Smith will represent the university on government relations issues at the state Capitol, as well as at the county and city level.
She'll also work on donor and alumni relations.
Smith is a 2004 graduate of from the WVU College of Law.
