A former Montgomery County fifth-grade teacher is avoiding jail time with a plea deal in a sexual abuse case.
The judge suspended a 12-year prison sentence and placed Krupica on supervised probation. The plea deal also prevents him from teaching any students younger than 16.
Krupica was a teacher at Meadow Hall Elementary School in Rockville. He was placed on paid administrative leave after the charges.
