The wife of a Kanawha County town's mayor has been arrested on charges she violated a protective order filed against her by a town employee.
A criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court says Fields walked into the Pratt Municipal Building on Tuesday and confronted clerk Kathy Fisher in violation of a protective order previously filed by Fisher.
Fields is the wife of Pratt Mayor Gary Fields. The violation carries a maximum punishment of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine upon conviction.
Norma Fields was being held Wednesday at the South Central Regional Jail on $2,500 bond. Jail records didn't indicate whether she has an attorney.
