Charleston Mayor Danny Jones says he's asked city law enforcement to refile a prostitution solicitation charge against a lobbyist.
Jones says he told City Attorney Paul Ellis that he wants everyone to be treated equally.
The charge against Reale was dismissed on Aug. 13 without prejudice. That means the case could be refiled.
Reale denied the charge in a statement given to the Charleston Daily Mail , which first reported about the case.
Reale served as chief of staff for former Gov. Gaston Caperton.
