A court has ordered the garnishment of a Berkeley County lawmaker's legislative wages to pay a lawsuit judgment.
The Berkeley County Circuit Court ordered Faircloth in 2007 to pay the men more than $29,000 in legal fees and damages, plus interest. The order came in lawsuit they had filed against Faircloth alleging he defrauded them.
Attorneys for Mulligan and Haarberg filed a copy of the final judgment order in Kanawha County in February, after Faircloth officially became a delegate. Last week, the Berkeley County court received a copy of the garnishment order and sent a copy to Faircloth.
Faircloth didn't immediately respond to telephone messages Monday.
