Bethany College has fired two employees after an audit found $500,000 missing from school accounts.
Barki tells media outlets he believes the thefts were part of a larger criminal enterprise. At least two people who didn't work at the school may be involved.
College President Scott Miller said the employee admitted to the theft.
Bethany also fired a finance director who was responsible for reconciling the account in question.
The embezzlement was discovered during an independent audit of school finances.
The cash window is now closed, and WesBanco provides banking.
