Blackout briefly darkens Caracas, leaves other parts of Venezuela without electricity
Reported by: Associated Press

A power blackout briefly darkened all of Venezuela's capital Monday night, and the government says other parts of the country also lost electricity.
While Caracas was dark people could be heard banging on pots — a frequent means of protest.
The energy minister said the blackout originated in central Venezuela, the same place that a power failure in September knocked out electricity to 70 percent of the country.
Although Venezuela has the world's largest proven oil reserves, it has been plagued by power outages in recent years.
