BUENOS AIRES, Argentina
Doctors have decided to perform surgery on Argentine President Cristina Fernandez to remove blood from inside her skull and relieve pressure on her brain.
The president's doctors ordered a month's rest on Saturday after discovering the subdural hematoma — blood that had been collecting between her brain and skull.
But the Fundacion Favaloro hospital announced that doctors decided to operate after her condition worsened on Sunday evening, when she felt a weakness and lack of blood flow in her upper left arm.
