Guinea's opposition calls for legislative election results to be invalidated citing fraud

Guinea's political opposition is demanding that the results from last weekend's legislative election be invalidated, citing fraud and irregularities.
The opposition's rejection of the initial results has raised doubts about whether the election will remain peaceful.
Even before voters headed to the polls last Saturday, disagreements over when and how the ballot would be held led to deadly street protests.
Initially results had been expected within 72 hours. However, the electoral commission later said the 72-hour window would only begin when it had received all the ballots, a process still not complete nearly a week later.
