ICE CREAM PARLOR CRASH CORRECTION

Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Saturday, April 26, 2014 2:17 AM EDT
BUENA PARK, Calif.

An SUV has plowed into people waiting outside a Southern California ice cream parlor, killing a woman and injuring six others.

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi says the car rammed into people standing and sitting outside Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour in Buena Park shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.

He says a 73-year-old woman was critically injured and died at a hospital.

Two other people had moderate injuries and four had minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Televised news reports showed a silver SUV pushed up over a curb and stopped against a bench.
