Question of the Day
EYEWITNESS NEWS QUESTION OF THE DAY RESPONSE

With the election over, how long do you think it will be before each campaign cleans up their roadside litter?

A SAMPLING OF YOUR RESPONSES:

Yes i do feel they should be fined! I hate this time of year. I hate seeing those ugly signs. Find another way to beg for votes. You couldn't pay me enough to litter my lawn with that crap.
Sherry White, Ravenna, Oh

I think that there should be a law that has them to pick up their signs. All they (signs) do is makes our highways look trashy.
Tomorrow Frampton, Sissonville

I thought a fine was already in the books? It will be cleand up in the summer when you see all the young people out picking up trash again.
Larry Thomas, Montgomery

No more than a week. After all we had to look at them for over 10 weeks. Any signs left up after that should be picked up by the highway department and the candidate should be charged $10 per sign.

Bob, Charleston

Honestly! I have seen a few sings taken down, but I have seen many many more still standing up. I think that it will probly take maybe 2weeks to a month. And some probly will not be taken down at all, and I personally think if they arent taken down. They dont care that people are tired of seeing them on the road side and in are mail boxes. I think there should be a stiff penality if they arent taken down. Because the election is over the winners are declared and they should rub in their victory by leaving their signs and propaganda up!
Chris, Charleston

I live in Boone County and it is nothing to see Al Gore for president signs beside the road.
Chris Arnold, Ashford

Who know how long it will take them, but I do think that after they have had time to get the signs down, maybe a couple weeks or so, they should be fined for littering.
Beth, Scott Depot

Probably 30 days or more. They should be fined for littering if not removed in a timely manner, more than 7 days.
Miranda Johnson, Craigsville

U mean they actually clean that stuff Up??? *winks*
Janet King, Gallagher

Some of the campaigns in my area have done a fair job in removing signs, especially the Capito campaign. But after last night's storm, there may not be any signs left to be picked up!
Michael Ihle, Ravenswood
