The reason I do not feel like my child is really SAFE on the school bus is because of the bus not being equipped with seatbelts. I have seen no evidence of any fighting or violence on her bus. I commend her bus driver for the concern she shows the children on her bus.

My daughter was physically assaulted by her bus driver on her way home!after the school superintendant was confronted(with the local sheriffs deputies present) he decided that a weeks vacation was sufficient punishment for the driver. Hows that for just punishment?

Statistics may show that children are safer riding the bus, but that may only be the case in an accident. When they are riding in an automobile, at least they are not getting beat up and pushed out the doors. On GMA it showed that the bus drivers were even scared to break up the fights. So maybe those statistics need to be checked again.
