EYEWITNESS NEWS QUESTION OF THE DAY RESPONSE

Police have stepped up traffic enforcement on a dangerous section of I-64. Should police be tougher on all traffic enforcement?

17% No:

A SAMPLING OF YOUR RESPONSES:

Yes, they drive to fast, also lowering the speed limt and enforcing it is so important.R
Ruthann, Gallipois

I think they should be tougher on the traffic laws. If they were then less accidents would happen and there would be less people gettin killed.
Tracy, Clendenin

I believe that if the police would start to enforce currant laws there would be less road rage resulting in accidents. I am not talking about speeding either I am refering to the other unenforced laws like illegal lane changes pulling out in front of others, pulling into intersection to turn to beat the light. Cars that move to slower than the speed limit seem to cause more accidents because people trying to get around them have accidents. It's the laws they don't enforce that cause the problems
Debbie, Scott Depot

Too much inforcement! My job requires me to drive a lot every day and my wife and I see too many speed traps. Can't we move these inforcement officers off the roads and use them to catch
Bob, Charleston, WV

before the police can be tougher on traffic enforcement on civilians, they should first enforce the law on themselves. Such as: don't go 90 m.p.h. when the limit is 70!!!! Just because you are a cop doesn't give you the right to break the law.I also all of the time see, here in charleston on my way to and from college, a lot of wreckless driving. Why is it that the police do not patrol the charleston high-way area more often?
Frank Bennett, Wallback
