Two sets of brothers have pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with the shooting death and attempted robbery of a suburban Cleveland tavern owner.
Twenty-six-year-old Devonne Turner, 23-year-old Brandon Jones and 21-year-old Darien Jones are charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and aggravated burglary. Turner's brother, 24-year-old Paul Turner, is charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing justice and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
Attorneys for Brandon Jones and Paul Turner declined to comment. The others' attorneys didn't return calls.
Cleveland Heights police arrested the men within days of the June 30 shooting. Brandon Jones had worked for slain owner Jim Brennan for about a month.
The Cleveland Heights police chief has said the four confessed.
