CINCINNATI ATTACK-CHARGES
Ohio attorney general: 4 indicted on charges including assault in downtown Cincinnati attack

Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 5:00 PM EDT
CINCINNATI

Ohio's attorney general says four adults have been indicted on assault and ethnic intimidation charges in an unprovoked attack on three people in Cincinnati in May.

Attorney General Mike DeWine's statement says a Hamilton County grand jury on Tuesday indicted three men and a woman on counts of felonious and misdemeanor assault, ethnic intimidation and aggravated riot.

DeWine spokesman Dan Tierney says arrest warrants were issued for the adults and for a 17-year-old boy who is expected to face similar charges in juvenile court.

DeWine's statement says the attack occurred around midnight in downtown Cincinnati after a May 24th street festival. DeWine's office is prosecuting at the request of Hamilton County's prosecutor, whose 23-year-old son was among the three allegedly attacked.

The state released no further details about the case.
