NEW CASTLE, Pa.
An Ohio wholesaler won't be cited after agreeing to destroy a ton of spoiled food found in a delivery truck bound for six Asian restaurants in western Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture officials say the food was bound for six restaurants, three in Lawrence County — where the stop occurred — and three more in neighboring Mercer County.
Press secretary Samantha Krepps says New Sheng Hung Inc., of Cleveland, wasn't cited after the company agreed to destroy the food. An employee said the manager wasn't available to comment Friday.
Seven Ohio restaurants that got food from the same truck were advised to destroy it.
