OHIO PARK-IMPROVEMENTS
Ohio's largest park to be improved with $88.5 million in funding from state

Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Sunday, May 11, 2014 11:36 AM EDT
COLUMBUS, Ohio

Officials say improvements will be made to Ohio's largest state park thanks to more than $88 million in state funding.

The director of Ohio's Department of Natural Resources says improvements at Salt Fork State Park in Cambridge will include renovations at the Sugartree Marina and upgrading of park campsites.

Department Director James Zehringer says the marina's dock will be re-decked and its concession building will be renovated.

More campsites at the park will be upgraded to full service with water and sewer and made to accommodate larger campers.

The Ohio capital improvement funding is aimed at improving and updating the state's parks.

The state has started a website to allow people to submit their ideas for improvements with the state parks system.
