Central Ohio police seek clues in slaying of driver-for-hire whose car was stolen

COLUMBUS, Ohio


Police in central Ohio are investigating the slaying of a driver-for-hire whose car was stolen in a possible robbery.

Franklin County detectives on Wednesday were looking for the vehicle driven by shooting victim Paul Devitt whose body was found in a mobile home the night before.

Multiple media outlets report that police believe the 49-year-old Devitt was shot during a robbery in suburban Columbus. Police say his wallet and phone had also been stolen.
