Key Cincinnati streetcar vote pushed to Wednesday as new mayor, city council butt heads

A special meeting of Cincinnati's city council to discuss axing a controversial streetcar has adjourned without a vote to immediately halt spending.
Those who support the $133 million streetcar say the city has spent too much to stop the project now and that it will be an economic boon.
Critics, newly sworn-in Mayor John Cranley among them, say it's too expensive in this economic climate.
The council is expected to vote Wednesday after more public comment on Tuesday.
The city has spent more than $23 million on the 3.6-mile line and has another $94 million obligated in contracts.
