SIOUX FALLS, S.D.
An Ohio newspaperman who went to college and previously worked in South Dakota has been named publisher of Argus Leader Media in Sioux Falls.
He succeeds Randell Beck, who retired this year.
The Argus Leader reports Albrecht was the advertising director at the Argus from 1998 until being named president and publisher of the St. Cloud Times in Minnesota in 2001.
He led the Times until taking over the 10-newspaper Media Network of Central Ohio three years ago.
Gannett Co. Inc. owns the South Dakota, Minnesota and Ohio media companies.
Albrecht graduated from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion with a bachelor's degree in mass communication.
