Ohio House leader says there was support for Medicaid expansion among his fellow Republicans

The Republican leader of the Ohio House says he wasn't pressed by the Republican governor's administration to change the composition of a board to get approval for funding Medicaid expansion.
One of his replacements voted to approve the funding.
Batchelder said he appointed the expansion supporter because a number of GOP House members felt strongly about strengthening the Medicaid program, but they didn't want their opinion publicly known.
Six House Republicans have filed a lawsuit over whether the board thwarted the Legislature's intent in approving the funding.
The Ohio Supreme Court agreed Thursday to an expedited schedule for the case.
