Federal prosecutors have charged a former union benefits administrator with embezzling about $32,000 from the company that administered the plans.
U.S. Attorney Steven Dettelbach in Cleveland said Friday the 56-year-old Dietz has been charged with one-count information with embezzling.
The charging document accuses Dietz of embezzling money from February 2009 through August 2011 through various means, including issuing himself mileage reimbursement checks for personal automobile travel.
An email and a phone message were left after regular business hours with Dietz's attorney.
