A Michigan man arrested after authorities found about 17,000 prescription pills in his vehicle has been convicted on drug charges in southwest Ohio.
The State Highway Patrol said the pills seized in a June 20 traffic stop included oxycodone and methadone and were worth nearly $340,000. The patrol said it marked their largest prescription pill seizure to that date.
Troopers said they stopped Hedges after seeing his vehicle weaving on Interstate 75 near Vandalia.
Hedges could be sentenced to three to 11 years on each count.
A recording at his attorney's office said the voicemail was full and could not accept messages.
