Some customers of Haslam-owned truck-stop chain won't take settlement, want damages

A speedy settlement by some companies with the truck-stop chain owned by Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam won't put an end to the case.
A number of trucking companies and drivers sued Pilot after an April 15 raid revealed the company had systematically cheated customers out of discounts and rebates.
The nation's largest diesel retailer reached a class-action settlement with some customers just three months later. It promises to repay any money owed with interest.
Tuesday is the deadline to opt out of the settlement. Customers who don't opt out are automatically included.
