OHIO JOBS AGENCY-LAWSUIT
APNewsBreak: Legal foes say term used in independent audit of JobsOhio validates court claims

Opponents of the nonprofit job-creation entity JobsOhio believe wording in an independent audit provides new ammunition for their legal arguments.
That is a key distinction because Ohio's Constitution prohibits a private entity from using public money.
JobsOhio executives sought quickly to dispel such assumptions in the overview attached to the audit.
They say the designation as a "component unit" doesn't imply that JobsOhio is "a state agency or part of state government." They say it's merely an accounting term that "has no legal bearing."
