Ohio EPA chief: regulator's forced resignation 'strategic,' was not forced by governor

The director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency says his decision to seek the resignation of the department's former water chief was not forced by Gov. John Kasich .
Elmaraghy authored a widely distributed August email alleging pressure from the coal industry was at play in a request for his resignation. He served 39 years at the Ohio EPA.
Nally says a "prime example" of stalled regulations is a proposal that would've revised how Ohio oversees some streams and wetlands destroyed by new roads and developments.
