RUN WITH THE ROSES
Police investigating 'run with the roses' at Richmond greenhouse

Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Monday, May 5, 2014 4:06 AM EDT
RICHMOND, Ky.

Most people know the Run for the Roses is held the first Saturday in May, but Richmond police say someone has been running with the roses there.

Police told WKYT-TV that someone has taken almost $2,500 worth of flowers from a Richmond greenhouse.

About $900 worth of flowers were taken in the first theft from Bi-Water Farm greenhouses. Then last week, more than $1,500 worth of roses and hydrangeas were stolen.

Police are investigating.
