Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Saturday, April 19, 2014 10:28 AM EDT

Investigators have released the 911 call made after two turkey hunters were shot in Clay County.

WYMT-TV reports Chad Bullock was hunting in the Fogertown community with the two who were hit with a shotgun blast. He told dispatchers he did not know if the person who shot at them saw them clearly. He said he did not know if the shooting was intentional.

One of the injured, 28-year-old Brian Griffin, died after being air-lifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He leaves behind a wife and two children. Another man, 21-year-old Jason Roberts, was injured.

Clay County Sheriff Kevin Johnson said investigators are treating the shooting as an accident. But whoever fired the shot could face charges for running away.
