Kentucky State Police are investigating why a Barren County Sheriff's deputy drove off the road and crashed, killing himself.

WBKO-TV in Bowling Green reported that Ernest Franklin, a deputy since 2006, swerved off Highway 90 in southern Kentucky on Wednesday and hit an embankment before stopping in a pond.
