Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Thursday, February 6, 2014 4:37 PM EST
WHITESBURG, Ky.

Kentucky State Police say a father and son have died in eastern Kentucky where an all-terrain vehicle apparently traveled off a dirt road and turned over.

Police say the bodies were found Thursday in the Jeremiah community of Letcher County, about five miles northwest of Whitesburg. The ATV was found over an embankment.

Police say the body of 34-year-old Tracy Adams of Jeremiah was found underneath the ATV, and the body of 70-year-old Carlos Adams, also of Jeremiah, was lying next to the ATV, with his leg trapped between the vehicle and a tree.

The men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it hasn't been determined who was driving or how long the men had been dead.

Autopsies were being arranged in Frankfort.
