MADISON COUNTY FIRE
Fire overnight in Madison County burns home, 3 bodies recovered

Reported by: Associated Press
Reported: Saturday, February 1, 2014 1:26 PM EST
RICHMOND, Ky.

Kentucky State Police say three bodies have been recovered from a house fire in central Kentucky.

The fire started late Friday night on Oakley Wells Road outside of Richmond.

State police say in a release that they were notified there were people in the home, and investigators have recovered the bodies of three unidentified people from the debris.

Fire and police officials were continuing to investigate the blaze Saturday morning.

The fatal fire occurred just two days after a house fire in Muhlenberg County killed nine family members and injured two others. Police say that blaze was likely caused by a baseboard heater that came in contact with a flammable material.
