Brandenburg police officer resigns amid investigation, related to firing of 2 state troopers

A Brandenburg police officer facing an investigation involving a 15-year-old girl has resigned.
Matti, a three-year veteran of the department, has been on paid leave.
Mayor David Pace says Matti is innocent until proven guilty, and he said he hasn't ruled out Matti returning to the force.
No criminal charges have been filed.
Kentucky's attorney general appointed Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Wine as a special prosecutor to look into the case.
