Sheriff: Brother shot brother in dispute over lumber, investigation ongoing

An eastern Kentucky man has been charged with attempted murder after officials say he shot his brother in a dispute over lumber.
Bill King told the sheriff Jerome King pulled a knife, prompting the shooting. Jerome King was shot in the groin and arm, but denies pulling a knife.
Jerome King was flown to Holston Valley, where he is in stable condition.
Lipfird arrested Bill King. He is housed in Harlan County Detention Center, charged with attempted murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
