We're going to give one lucky winner the chance to see the American Idol performance finale Absolutely Free! Now I bet that's got your attention. Want to know how to play? Of course you do...here it goes. First (and most importantly) make sure to watch American Idol every Tuesday night at 8pm right here on Fox 11. Then make sure to listen to Sheila and jim every weekday morning on 100 KEE-FM for your chance to play Simon Sez. They'll begin a quote from Simon and ask listeners to call in and finish Simon's statement. The first person to correctly finish the quote wins a gift pack from 100 KEE-FM and is qualified for a chance to fly out to L.A. for the American Idol Finals on May 21, 2008 all on us! To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in WCHS/WVAH viewing area. 2. mployees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Media III Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WCHS/WVAH (the "Stations"), their affiliated companies, FOX Broadcasting Company, News America, Inc., FOX Interactive Media, FremantleMedia North America, Inc., American Idol Productions, Inc., 19 TV Ltd., 19 Merchandising Ltd., CKX, Inc., their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term "immediate families" includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household. How to Enter (a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Qualified entrants may enter once per day per contest. (b) The contest starts on February 5, 2008 and ends on February 27, 2008. Entrants should watch American Idol on the Station each Tuesday at 8:00pm. Then, listen to the morning show on WKEE-FM each Wednesday from 6:am to 10:00am for a chance to enter. At the time that calls are solicited, the criteria for winning will be announced. (c) One or more contests may be announced from time to time. More than one contest may run simultaneously, but entries will only be solicited for one contest at a time. Station is not responsible for any telephone system failure or malfunctions or other inability of entrants to reach telephone entry line. (d) Four (4) qualifiers, one each day from February 6 through February 27 at 10am,will be selected. Qualifiers will be selected in accordance with the criteria announced when calls are solicited. The contest will be judged by Station personnel, and the decision of the judges will be final as to all matters, including (i) the order in which calls were received and (ii) whether any answer required to be given is correct (e) On February 28th, 2008 at 7am, one (1) Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from among valid qualifiers. (f) By calling the designated telephone line, each contestant gives permission to Station to record and/or broadcast contestant's telephone call. All entries received from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station. The Prize(s) 1. Each Qualifier will receive a gift prize pack from Fox 11 and WKEE-FM valued at $25.00. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive the Simon Sez Trip Package. The trip package includes roundtrip airfare, economy class, for two (2) from Huntington, WV to Los Angeles International Airport, three (3) night's hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy) and two (2) tickets to the Tuesday performance show of American Idol. The trip package does not include any meals, other transportation, gratuities, or any other expenses. The grand prize package is valued at $1,800. In the event production of American Idol is cancelled or postponed, the ticket portion of the prizing may be cancelled without substitution or compensation therefore. 2. Daily qualifiers will be notified at the time of their calls. Grand Prize winner will be notified of their prize by phone. Winners must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 5 days of notification. All persons traveling on the trip must be 18 years of age or over, unless travelers under 18 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of all of the minors. All persons traveling on the trip must also sign and return a release which must be returned with the winner's release and affidavit of eligibility within the time frame specified above. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Stations reserve the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. 3. If a winner does return the affidavit of eligibility within five (5) days, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner 4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Stations. The Stations have the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed. 5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. 6. Only one prize will be awarded per household. 7. Sinclair Television of Nashville, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider shall not be responsible for winner's failure to take the trip within the time frame described above, or cancellation of the trip by the winner. 8. Sinclair Television of Nashville Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.. 9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Television of Nashville, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration. Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous 1. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received. 2. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
